Success Story:
As a young support coordinator, I reported family violence and safety concerns to the NDIS Commission and VCAT for a client. I documented all communications, collated shift notes, and submitted them urgently. I then attended a hearing where the facilitator requested an additional session to reassess the situation. I'm proud of fulfilling my duty of care and ensuring my participants dignity and safety were prioritised during a challenging time. Although I couldn't offer further support after the first hearing, I understood the importance of highlighting these issues to maintain my participants wellbeing.
